Lucky residents spotted the cameras on Tudor Square as well as a former Eastenders star.
Sam Gittins, who plays Wayne 'Moose' Parker in the long running soap, was spotted on the square with the 25-year-old set to take on the role of Spencer Pryde in the film.
Gittins' character Pryde is a gifted snooker player who falls into petty crime before seeking sanctuary in the local snooker hall when events spiral out of control.
