Sheffield weather: Met Office issues urgent warning with Sheffield to be battered by strong winds

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, which will be in place from 9pm tomorrow, Wednesday, March 10, until 3pm on Thursday.
It says that strong winds accompanied by heavy and blustery showers may bring some disruption to parts of England and Wales, including Sheffield.

Hide AdThat could mean delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges, short-term power cuts and disruption to road, rail, air and ferry transport.
In Sheffield, wind speeds are forecast to reach 26mph, with gusts of up to 51mph expected during the early hours of Thursday.
After a relatively dry spell, heavy rain is forecast between 2pm and 8pm on Wednesday, and from 6am to midday on Thursday.
The temperature is expected to peak at 11C on Wednesday, with a high of 9C on Thursday.
