VIDEO: Car erupts into flames on Chesterfield street
Firefighters were called to Loundsley Green Road at about 1.50pm yesterday amid reports that a Citreon C3 was ‘well alight’.
A Derbyshire police spokesman said the vehicle had collided with a bollard and lamp post before setting on fire.

Hide AdEmma Louise Easto, who sent the DT the above footage via Facebook, said: “I heard a huge bang and jumped out of my seat to find the car in flames.
“There was loads of smoke.
“It was horrific – I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Chesterfield firefighters battled the flames and made the scene safe while police helped control traffic.
Thankfully, there were no reports of any injuries.
It has not been revealed what caused the fire.
