Two cars recovered by police in hunt for Sheffield ram raiders
The vehicles – a blue Vauxhall Vectra and a Skoda Roomster – are being forensically examined for clues to help lead detectives to crooks who ram raided four businesses in one morning.

Hide AdIn the first of four incidents all being linked by detectives, an attempt was made to force entry to Screwfix, off Herries Road South, Hillsborough, at 2am yesterday.
The crooks involved failed and then targeted the Texaco petrol station on Burncross Road, Chapeltown, at 2.45am.
Cash and cigarettes were stolen during the raid.
Those involved then raided a Tesco Express store on Dykes Hall Road, Hillsborough at around 4am and Spar on Pot House Lane was targeted at 4.20am. Cash and cigarettes were stolen from both supermarkets. DC James Hughes said: “We are currently reviewing CCTV as part of our enquiries, but I would like to make an appeal to the public to contact us if they saw what happened, or if they have any information that might help us.”

Hide AdLast week there were failed ram raids at Tesco on Herries Road, Southey and Asda on South Road, Walkley, with detectives believing the two incidents to be linked.
A white car was used in both attacks.
Cigarettes were also stolen during break-ins at Tesco on Infirmary Road, Upperthorpe, along with the Co-op on Oldfield Road, Stannington.
