Tooth brush club in school
Nursery and reception children from Tinsley Meadows Primary Academy brush their teeth together in a circle every day.
Teacher David Yates said: “Our tooth brushing club makes sure that the children in nursery and reception learn the importance of brushing their teeth early in their lives in a fun, and enjoyable way.

Workshops are also run for parents to encourage them to get their children brushing their teeth and to raise awareness that tooth decay and gum disease can be reduced by regular tooth brushing with fluoride tooth paste.
Cabinet member for Children, Young People and Families, Coun Jackie Drayton, said: “There is no doubt that getting all children into a good tooth brushing routine can prevent decay and ultimately save teeth. It’s wonderful this is working.”
