Jameson's Tearooms, on Abbeydale Road, was forced to halt its takeaway and delivery options when the Government tightened social distancing restrictions in March.
But now the place is taking orders of its full classic cakes, and a range of afternoon teas, which customers can either pick up themselves or have sent to their doors.

Teas will be dispatched from Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm – for £16 diners can enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches with fillings including smoked salmon and hand-carved ham, as well as fresh scones with jam and clotted cream, and a ‘generous slice’ of homemade cake. A vegan version and a smaller children's tea are available too.
Jameson's full cakes, meanwhile, are eight inches in size and serve 10 to 12 people, keeping at their best for about three days. There are 16 varieties to choose from, ranging from a Victoria sponge and a lemon drizzle loaf to chocolate orange marble, carrot cake, cherry bakewell, coffee and walnut and another chocolate cake topped with Maltesers. Vegan and gluten-free alternatives are on offer.
The café requires 48 hours’ notice to bake a full cake, or 24 hours to prepare a tea. Afternoon tea orders must be made by noon the day before.

Jameson’s opened on Abbeydale Road in 2012, run by husband and wife Sarah and Mark Jameson, whose family had traded in antiques since the 1880s.
A second tearoom opened in Oakwood, Leeds in 2015 – however this closed in 2018 and the Sheffield site is now under different ownership.
