There was a candlelit vigil for Harambe, the gorilla killed in a zoo in Cincinnati five months ago, in Weston Park at 8.45pm.
People took part in 'prayers for Harambe' and lit candles to a shrine covered in bananas. No, we're not making this up.

Similar events were held around the country including in Manchester and in Leeds.
An outpouring of sympathy followed the death of the western lowland gorilla, after he was filmed toying with a three-year-old boy who had fallen over the fence into his pen.
The child was not injured but zoo staff feared for his safety as the 17-year-old silverback dragged him up a ladder out of a moat.
