South Yorkshire Police seek £100k-per-year assistant chief constables
The force is searching for two new senior officers to join its management team, working under Chief Constable David Crompton.
A job advert on the force website for ‘inspirational leaders’ to take on the roles said the salary will be between £96,597 and £109,056, plus allowances.

Hide AdThose chosen are asked to be ‘truly committed and passionate about the service provided to the public of South Yorkshire’.
The advert said: “The chief constable of South Yorkshire Police is seeking to appoint two assistant chief constables.
“The appointments will be subject to relevant legislation and to such conditions as may be agreed by the Police and Crime Commissioner.
“We are looking for motivated and experienced senior officers to join our successful team and play a leading role in the drive to improve performance, by effective management and working with partner agencies, while continuing to meet financial challenges.”

Hide AdApplications for the role will close on April 8, with interviews scheduled to take place on April 29.
One of the posts will be responsible for leading the Public Protection and Safeguarding portfolio.
