Sheffield women 'filthiest in bedroom' in Britain
But rather than being noted for their behaviour between the sheets, the study says that local women are among the worst soap dodgers in the UK.
The study in bedroom cleanliness and hygiene habits put Sheffield folk as the dirtiest in the UK - with women the worst offenders.

The study found an embarrassing 35 per cent of Sheffielders admit their duvets have never washed – suggesting they like snuggling up under filthy duvets bursting with bacteria, dust mites and skin scales.
A further 5% per cent reveal to have washed it only once in the past six to 12 months – an unpleasant nine months longer than the recommended time.
Surprisingly, domestic queens in Sheffield are less hygienic than their male counterparts when it comes to bedroom grime.

In contrast 67 per cent of British blokes proudly look after their bedroom wears, with nearly three quarters washing it once during the past five months.
And it’s not just what you sleep under – 100 per cent of soap dodging females in Sheffield confess pyjamas are worn up to 46 hours on average before they see soap, compared to 71 per cent of males.
Edward Relf, founder & CEO at Laundrapp, says; “We’re horrified to hear how Brits let bedroom grime build up – especially with essential household items like duvets that soak up all that sweat and skin scales.
