Having been at the John Smith’s Stadium for a little under a year, the turnaround in fortunes has been vast, with the Terriers going from relegation candidates last season to sitting pretty at the top of the Championship with 11 games gone. And Booth says it’s all down to astute signings and hard work on the training pitch.
“It’s incredible how much hard work goes on in training and everyone is seeing the benefits,” said Booth.

Hide Ad“No one quite knew what to expect from him, apart from the fact that he had worked with Jurgen Klopp and had a similar mindset in how he wanted the team to play.
“To do that they have to work hard and that’s exactly what has happened. Sometimes the players are in at nine and don’t go home until six at night which was unheard of.
“His signings have also been great; he hasn’t brought in big names, but he has signed leaders.”
