Sheffield United: Youngster Regan Slater reveals his pride after making Blades league debut in 1-0 defeat at Preston
Youngster Regan Slater described yesterday as a "very very good day for me and the family" after making his Sheffield United league debut in a 1-0 defeat at Preston.
Slater replaced Samir Carruthers in the second half at Deepdale, as United's winless run extended to five games. The academy skipper made his first-team debut in the Checkatrade Trophy at Grimsby last season, and scored a stunning goal. He tweeted yesterday: "Shame about the result today but other than that a very very good day for me and the family. UTB."
