Sheffield United: Winger offered a route back to Lane
The Sheffield United winger joined neighbours Chesterfield on loan until the end of the season last week but Adkins revealed the agreement can be terminated next month.
Allowing Campbell-Ryce to depart at such a critical stage of the campaign - United trail sixth-placed Barnsley by six points with nine matches remaining - appeared to suggest that Adkins has already decided not to renew the 32-year-old’s contract when it expores this summer.

We can bring Jam back if required but, equally as I’ve said, he needs to go and play some games. This is the opportunity for him to do that.”
Campbell-Ryce, who scored with his first touch for Chesterfield last weekend, is eligible for a return to United on April 15 and so could yet feature against Shrewsbury Town, Barnsley, Coventry City and Scunthorpe.
“We’ve changed our shape. John (Brayford) and Matty (Done) have been playing, in really advanced roles, and showing good energy doing that. So, for those weeks, that has left Jam out of the equation for a little bit.”
