Sheffield United: Marvin Johnson has become a Blade after leaving Middlesbrough
The wing-back, one of Chris Wilder's leading targets in the transfer market, had appeared destined to remain on Teesside after Hull City failed in a bid to secure his services.
But United's persistence paid-off when officials at both Bramall Lane and the Riverside Stadium managed to push through a deal before the 5pm cut-off point, although he will be unavailable for selection against Aston Villa tomorrow.
