Sheffield tree protesters released from police custody
Two men arrested at a protest over tree felling in Sheffield have been released from police custody.
The men were held by South Yorkshire Police yesterday after officers were called to Marden Road, Nether Edge, following a stand-off between protesters and tree fellers.
Protesters gathered on the street after Amey workers arrived to fell a tree as part of the firm's contract to resurface all of Sheffield's roads and pavements.
