Sheffield-born children’s TV star to attend dementia friendly carol service
The charity is holding an evening of Carols by Candlelight at major venues outside of London for the first time.
The Barlow Singers will be taking part in the service.
After the concert, there will be mince pies and mulled wine.

Hide AdRichard, who is an Alzheimer’s Society Celebrity Ambassador, said: “I lost my mum, Helen, to Pick’s disease, a rare form of dementia in September 2010 – she was only 64 years old. The support we received as a family from Alzheimer’s Society’s services in Sheffield was invaluable.
“As a proud ambassador for the charity, I’m delighted to be attending their Carols by Candlelight Christmas service in my hometown. The funds and awareness raised will make a big difference to the lives of so many families living with dementia.”
Tickets are £6 for adults, £10 for a combined ticket for a person with dementia and a carer, or £3 for children under 10.
