Tablets and sleep machines donated to Barnsley care homes to help beat isolation

Nationwide Engineering Group, a construction-focused service provider, have donated 10 Amazon Fire HD10 tablets to care homes across the borough.
Buckingham, Field View, Galtee More, Highgrove, Highstone Mews, Holly Tree Lodge, Parkside, Riverside, Rockley Dene Residential and Aspire - The Gate have all been recipients of the donations.

Hide AdNationwide has also given 15 Amazon Fire HD8 tablet cases, a high fidelity sleep machine, a kitchen bar counter table, two digital radio alarm clocks and 16 six-packs of reusable grocery bags to the Barnsley Hospital Charity to support staff and patient wellbeing.
Jane Mills, charity development manager, said: “The donation is greatly appreciated and included items from our wishlist which staff had identified as making a difference to themselves and patients at this time. I would like to thank everyone involved for their generosity.”
Ekspan, meanwhile, donated two Amazon Fire HD10 tablets to the Highfield Farm and Ivy Mead care homes.
Coun Jenny Platts, Barnsley Council cabinet spokeswoman for communities, said: “It is fantastic to see local companies wanting to help the community during this time.
