Police seek witnesses to collision which killed two Rotherham men
A 77-year-old man and his 68-year-old passenger died when the white Lexus CT 200 they were travelling in was involved in a collision with a white DAF heavy goods vehicle.
The collision occurred at around 10.23am on Thursday, April 21 at the junction between Lee Lane and the A616 Whams Road.

Hide AdThe Lexus, being driven by the 77-year-old, was travelling along Lee Lane from Millhouse Green and the HGV was travelling on the A616 heading toward Barnsley.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: The driver of the Lexus, a 77-year-old Rotherham man, and a 68-year-old passenger, also from Rotherham, suffered multiple injuries and died at the scene.
“The families of both men have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
“The driver of the HGV, a 38-year-old Worksop man, suffered minor leg injuries.

Hide Ad“Officers are asking anyone who was in the area at the time or saw the manner in which either vehicle was being driver prior to the collision to contact them.”
