Sheffield couple give Valentine's Day advice and reveal secret to 68-year-long marriage
Norman, 93, and Connie Condon, 88, will celebrate their anniversary next month and say the secret to their marriage is to ‘listen to and love each other’.
The loving couple were married in the former Whitcliffe Chapel, in Langsett Road, Sheffield, and have two sons.

“We’ve always loved and trusted each other and that’s the key to a long and happy marriage.
“My advice to young couples would be to never lie to each other and believe in your partner.
“Valentine’s Day is a chance to show you care for someone you love and we are still in love after 67 years of marriage.”

To mark Valentine’s Day the home is hosting a day of themed events, including a Valentine’s lunch for the residents and their loved ones.
Herries Lodge Manager Sarah Burley said: “This is such an exciting event. There will be lots of fun, colour and wonderful food all made from fresh seasonal ingredients. Older people have a lifetime of experience when it comes to love so it’s great Norman and Connie can offer younger couples advice.
“Such events are also a great occasion for residents to socialise with friends and their families.”
