Billed as a seasonably scarlet spectacle to warm even the coldest cockles of Scrooges' hearts, all participants of the annual event are given a Santa hat to wear as they run around Sheffield’s canal towpath to raise money for charity. Santa himself started the race in his sleigh and handed out free gifts to all the children.
