The junction of High Street and Station Road was also decorated.
Linda said: “It’s been a great opportunity for everyone to get together and get a community feeling through this event.”
Serving soldier Josh Roberts, aged 26, was among those to attend.

“Today’s not only for remembering VE Day.
“Soldiers from my unit and other servicemen still dying for the freedoms we have today. We’ve got freedom today from wars still being fought today.”
