Letter: Do they really want to go?
I think everyone is getting fed up with Nicola Sturgeon going on about a Scottish Referendum to leave the Union.
It should be the English to vote as to whether we want to keep them.

Hide AdWe should warn them that if they are successful, then the Naval ships on order will be built in England, the nuclear submarines will be serviced in England too.
Previously some of the large insurance companies made noises about moving south if it happened.
That leaves whisky and oil. With oil in decline where are they going to get the money to run Scotland?
We have been too generous with what we give them to run the country. It’s far more per capita than the English budget and they are still in debt.

Hide AdAnother point that intrigues me is that as you look around Europe most of the Nationalist parties want out of the European Union, the French for one.
With the loss of income from the UK, can you see Europe allowing another country to join without contributing? They are already complaining about allowing Greece to join being virtually bankrupt.
Where are they going to get the money that they owe us? I suppose with us being a softy we will let them off with it.
Personally, I do not believe the majority of Scots will back her. What will she do then?
