Nigel Berry, who has a fish stall on Doncaster Market, said: “I’m delighted that the restaurant are happy with produce they get from the market. I like to think we always have the best and freshest produce.”
Mr Kee added: “A Japanese restaurant is a new idea for Doncaster, but people seem to like it. The younger crowd especially seem to be taking to the food really well.”
As well as the sushi menu, served from the traditional conveyer belt, upstairs there is a teriyaki restaurant, where the food is cooked in front of you - an experience that is pure theatre combined with fine dining.

“I’ve had sushi in London but it’s great to be able to get it closer to home.
“We went up to the teriyaki section too and that was superb - the way they cook the food at your table is a really dramatic experience - it’s pure entertainment.
“As each dish was prepared we just sat and applauded. We’ll definitely be coming back.”
