Man attacked and dog killed in ambush on Sheffield estate
The 68-year-old was assaulted as he walked his dog - a Yorkshire Terrier cross breed - in Fox Hill Crescent, Fox Hill.
He told police officers that three offenders were involved in the attack and that those involved struck him with a brick and killed his beloved pet.

Hide AdA South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers are investigating after a 68-year-old man was allegedly assaulted and his dog killed.
“It is believed that three unknown offenders assaulted the man as he walked with his dog, a cross breed Yorkshire Terrier, towards a block of flats in Fox Hill Crescent, Sheffield.
“The man was injured as a result of the incident and currently remains in hospital.
“Police are asking anyone who may have any information about the incident to contact police.
