Hide AdOne in six - 16 per cent - UK adults will shun a night out for a night in front of the TV this year as it seems watching telly is the thing that brings many couples together.
More than 28 per cent of those quizzed said they always know what their partner likes to watch on TV.
But not everyone is so content with their other half's viewing habits with 15 per cent of those surveyed saying they couldn't stand what their partner watches on TV.
And bizarrely, three per cent said they would even consider breaking up with their partner if they couldn't agree on what to watch.
The research for Sky was carried out online in January and 1,000 people were quizzed.
