LATEST: Seven arrested over London terror attack
The police chief, speaking outside Scotland Yard this morning, also confirmed today that the official death toll is now four - including the attacker - despite claims last night that five people had died.
The four are PC Keith Palmer, two members of the public – a woman in her mid-40s, and a man in his mid-50s – and the attacker.

Hide AdPC Palmer was stabbed and the other two victims were mown down on Westminster Bridge.
The attacker, who has not yet been named by the police, was shot in a police operation to prevent him gaining entry to the Houses of Parliament.
Mr Rowley said 29 casualties had been treated in five hospitals across London, with seven victims in a critical condition.
He reiterated that the police believe the attacker acted alone and that is was still his belief he was inspired by 'international terrorism' adding that there was no specific information to suggest any further threat to the public.
