Hatfield site is a tent peg above the rest
The Hatfield campsite has been named the top-selling holiday site in South Yorkshire for 2016 by outdoor accommodation specialist, Pitchup.com.
It is shown to have led the way for visitors to South Yorkshire in 2016, bringing an impressive 641 bookings to the region, 1065 per cent ahead of its nearest regional competitor.

Hide AdThese figures were compiled from Pitchup.com’s bookings for 2,600 camping and caravan sites across 34 countries worldwide. Early bookings show Hatfield is likely to maintain its popularity this year,
Just 10 minutes’ walk from the old town of Hatfield, the Outdoor Activity Centre and Campsite offers both land and water-based pursuits that include canoeing, kayaking, climbing, cycling trails and fishing.
Nearby are old town restaurants, mini markets and bakeries. The site offers a spread out range of grass and motorhome pitches with optional electric hook-up, and has facilities such as playgrounds, party areas, shower blocks and washing-up areas.
