Two men accused of murdering Ramey Salem to appear at Sheffield Crown Court

Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard on November 24 how Jabari Fanty, aged 18, of Broadhead Road, Deepcar, Sheffield, has been charged with the murder of 20-year-old Ramey Salem, who was also known as Ramey Saleh.
Mr Salem was allegedly shot in a property on Grimesthorpe Road South, Burngreave, Sheffield, around 1am, on November 16.

Hide AdPolice revealed Mr Salem was found with serious injuries and taken to hospital where he later died.
A further Sheffield Magistrates’ Court hearing on November 25 also heard how Aaron Yanbeck, aged 18, of Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, has also been charged with the murder of Ramey Salem.
Mr Fanty and Mr Yanbeck have also been charged with conspiracy to commit murder at Osgathorpe Park, Pitsmoor, on October 31, conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life between October 3 and November 17 and to possessing an offensive weapon.
Both cases have been committed to Sheffield Crown Court for a further joint hearing on November 26.

Hide AdTwo other men, aged 18 and 21, had been kept in police custody overnight on November 24 after being arrested over the weekend on suspicion of murder.
A 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and a 33-year-old man arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice last Thursday have been released under investigation.
