A Sheffield Magistrates’ Court hearing, sitting at Sheffield Crown Court, heard how Kieron Oliver, 35, of Heysham Green, Monk Bretton, Barnsley, grabbed his partner’s hair and threw a vase at her head.
Robert Coyne, prosecuting, said: “There was an argument in relation to the victim moving the defendant’s drugs because he could not find them and during the argument he grabbed her hair and demanded money for drugs.”

Following Oliver’s arrest he also undid his seat belt in a police vehicle and kicked out at a police officer, according to Mr Coyne.
Oliver pleaded guilty to assault by beating, causing criminal damage and to assaulting an emergency worker after the incident on April 3.
The court heard Oliver also has previous matters for assault and criminal damage relating to the same complainant.
Amy-Jo Cutts, defending, said Oliver has had drug problems particularly with heroin but he has been trying to turn his life around and he had been taking tablets to withdraw from heroin but they had affected his behaviour.
District Judge Grace Leong sentenced Oliver to 12 weeks of custody and ordered him to pay a £122 victim surcharge.
