Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard on January 23 how Gareth Mousley, 39, of Allan Street, Clifton, Rotherham, had been convicted of assaulting his ex-partner and he was placed on a restraining order.
But Robert Coyne, prosecuting, said Mousley sent text messages to his ex-partner between August 23 and 24.

Hide AdMr Coyne claimed Mousley also made a couple of phone calls that weren’t answered on January 23 and Mr Coyne claimed Mousley made another call on January 24.
Mousley pleaded guilty to breaching the restraining order between August 23 and 24.
Hester Russell, defending, said contact arrangements have been put in place concerning the former couple’s children and there was no suggestion of any harm during the messages.
Magistrates sentenced Mousley to a 28-day curfew operating between 9pm and 5am. He must also pay £85 costs and a £90 victim surcharge.
