Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard on March 19 how Daniel Gordon, 19, of Badger Road, Sheffield, was seen by police driving a VW Golf on Eastbank Road, Sheffield, and checks showed the vehicle had no valid insurance.
Robert Coyne, prosecuting, said: “Police signalled for the car to stop but it continued.”

Gordon pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit, driving without insurance and without a full licence after the incident on February 9.
He told the court he regretted his actions and that he had been on a learner's policy but the insurance was cancelled.
Gordon was fined £240 and must pay a £32 victim surcharge. He was banned from driving for 12 months.
