Flares were lit, engines were revved and horns were sounded in a funeral procession through Sheffield for two friends who died together in a horror crash.

The heartbroken families of Tyrone Forde, aged 22 and Jordan Caster, 19, both from Sheffield, organised a joint funeral yesterday for the two friends who died in a crash on the M1, just north of Sheffield, earlier this month.

The car they were travelling in – a white Volkswagen Golf – left the carriageway, hit a barrier and a number of trees before overturning and landing on its roof.

The two men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Yesterday, friends joined the funeral procession for the two young men on their final journey.

As a tribute multi-coloured flares were lit as cars, quads and motorbikes made their way to Shiregreen Cemetery, where a joint service was held.

Among the floral tributes left for Tyrone and Jordan was a wreath spelling ‘friends’.
