Police investigate racially aggravated public order offence after Royal Mail attack in Sheffield

Royal Mail has suspended deliveries to Cradock Mews, Norfolk Park after the incident, which police said is also the subject of a criminal damage investigation.
The company said the risk in delivering to the area is “unacceptably high due to the threat of further customer abuse.”

Hide AdIt said a health and safety risk assessment must be completed before deliveries are resumed. In the meantime, residents at Cradock Mews – a supported living facility – have to collect their post from the Royal Mail sorting office on Pond Street.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson told The Star: “An investigation into reports of criminal damage of a post van and a racially aggravated public order offence are ongoing.
“Enquiries continue.”
