Man arrested after disturbing dog abuse video emerges on internet

Police had earlier appeal for information about the video after the footage was shared widely online in the last few days.
Officers say they have now arrested a Doncaster man before releasing him under investigation and removing the dog from his custody.

Hide AdA South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police investigating a video showing a man hitting a dog in the face have arrested a 26-year-old man from Doncaster in connection with the incident. He has been released under investigation.
“The welfare of the dog has been checked and it has been removed from his custody.”
