Lefa Bull was complying with the terms of a Sexual Risk Order when he told officers he was living at on the The Crescent, on October 16, last year, prosecutor Gareth Henderson-Moore said.
But when officers checked the flat on November 24, they found it was empty, and the offence was aggravated by past breaches.

Hide AdBull also produced a four inch-long silver butter knife when he was challenged by two shop workers in Scarborough, on April 19, last year, after stealing two bottles of fabric softener.
"Don't threaten me, I've got a knife," he told them before escaping in a Vauxhall Astra, Mr Henderson-Moore said.
Bull has "many relevant" convictions, including an earlier knife offence, which added up to a "pretty lamentable list of criminality," said Judge Jeremy Richardson QC.
The authorities were concerned about the age of the people Bull was keeping company with, in 2015, when the order was first made.

"He always presents as a rather sad character. He always starts with the best of intentions. He is quite inadequate at getting his life in order."
He said that Bull, who leads a "dysfunctional lifestyle," got a poor start as the son of alcoholic parents.
The 28-year-old, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a Sexual Risk Order and possession of a blade, as well as theft and threatening behaviour.

"In many respects you deserve more," the judge told him when sentencing at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday. "I am aware of the baleful background you come from.
"It is hardly surprising that at a relatively early age you descended into crime. What a way to spend your 28th birthday."
