Killer gunman remains on the run after shooting of Sheffield solicitor

The killer shot 30-year-old Khuram Javed in Clough Road, near Bramall Lane, at around 9.40pm on Saturday, April 10.
He pronounced dead at the scene and another man injured the gun attack – a 31-year-old – was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
He has since been discharged.

Hide AdDetectives investigating the murder want to hear from witnesses or motorists with dashcams who were driving in the Bramall Lane area on the night of the shooting.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been released by South Yorkshire Police.
Mr Javed was a married father-of-two who worked as a solicitor in Sheffield after graduating from the University of Sheffield.
He spent the last four years working at Alison Law Solicitors on London Road, with the last 18 months employed as a qualified solicitor.

Hide AdDetective Chief Inspector Michael Hakin said: “I would urge anyone with information about what happened to come forward. If you think you might have witnessed the incident or if you saw or heard anything suspicious, please speak to us.
“If you were driving in the area at the time, do you think you may have dashcam footage that could support our investigation?
“I am acutely aware that this incident may be distressing to the local community. Please be assured that we have deployed additional resources to the area, and our specialist team continues to carry out enquiries to locate those responsible.”
