Investigation into Sheffield crash continues as woman fights for life in hospital

At 9.58pm on Wednesday, September 2, it is reported that a Blue BMW was travelling up Halifax Road away from the city centre.
At the same time, a blue Suzuki Jimmy was travelling down Cowper Avenue to the junction of Halifax Road.

Hide AdAs the Suzuki joined Halifax Road the BMW reportedly hit the driver’s side of Suzuki pushing it onto its side.
The driver of the BMW, a 26-year-old from Sheffield received hospital treatment for minor leg injuries and was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He has since been released under investigation.
The driver of the Suzuki, a 55 year-old-woman also from Sheffield remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may was driving in the Halifax Road area just before or immediately after the collision and has dash-cam footage.
