Increased police presence in Sheffield after raid at home where former councillor lived during shooting

Police were seen patrolling areas in London Road and Abbeydale Road this afternoon (Thursday, August 6) in connection with the inquiries into the home of a former councillor earlier today.
Officers and sniffer dogs appeared to be searching a car outside Lowfield School in relation to the investigation.

Hide AdIt comes after police searched the premises and garden of a semi-detached home on Edgedale Road, Nether Edge, this afternoon.
Former Sheffield councillor Mohammad Maroof lived in the property with his family, when his home was shot at by a gunman in April, 2019.
The shooting was one of four incidents linked by detectives.
