It took the jury almost nine hours of deliberation to find Connor Rose guilty of his murder by majority verdict of 10-2, after he smashed a glass into the 24-year-old’s face in a “revenge attack” outside Vibe Bar in Holywell Street, Chesterfield, in the early hours of Saturday, February 8 last year.
Prosecutors had told the court that Rose had targeted Mr Robotham, of Sheffield Road, Old Whittington, after he had pushed him over inside the club while he was fighting with a friend of the defendant’s.
