Fight breaks out after three-car smash on busy Sheffield road

A silver Daihatsu and a red Nissan Micra crashed outside The Chantrey Arms pub on Chesterfield Road, Woodseats, at around 7.45pm yesterday.
A silver Toyota Corolla, which was parked on the road, was then hit by one of the cars involved in the initial smash.

Hide AdOne of the vehicles ended up on its roof and there was crash debris strewn across the road.
South Yorkshire Police said the force received reports of ‘fighting’ at the crash scene.
One man sustained injuries in the incident and was taken to hospital.
The road was closed for over four hours while enquiries were carried out at the scene and the vehicles were recovered.

Hide AdSouth Yorkshire Police said: “Police were notified at 7.45pm last night to a collision on Chesterfield Road, outside the Chantrey pub. Three vehicles were involved - a silver Daihatsu, a silver Corolla and a red Micra.
“The silver Corolla was not involved in the initial collision. It was parked and was hit by one of the vehicles after they collided.
“There were also reports that the drivers of the vehicles were fighting.
“One man sustained injuries and was taken to hospital, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
“The road was closed at 7.50pm and reopened at 12.30am.”
