The tennis courts were also re-painted at Hillsborough Park and partnerships were formed with a range of community organisations to extend tennis to a new audience.
The venue will now go forward to the national awards in June, held at the National Tennis Centre.
Coaching sessions will be re-starting at five parks across Sheffield next week following on from last year’s successful programme.
