Asbestos found in fake cigarettes in South Yorkshire shop

Police officers seized packets of cigarettes from a shop in the Eastwood area following a tip-off that counterfeit cigarettes were being sold to children.

Tests on the cigarettes found that some contained asbestos.

An investigation is underway.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Action will be taken with Trading Standards."
