A Sheffield convenience store’s licence is up for review over the sale of ‘counterfeit’ cigarettes.

Sheffield Council’s Trading Standards officer Bill Masini requested the review of Yorkshire Convenience Store on Abbeydale Road on the grounds of ‘prevention of crime and disorder’.

The council said the request was made due to concerns about the store supplying ‘cheap’ and ‘illegal’ ‘counterfeit’ cigarettes.

The application for the review was made on May 10 and people have until June 8 to make any written representations.
