Charity shops 'full to the brim' in Sheffield after deluge of donations following reopening

St Luke’s Sheffield today tweeted: “It's been a busy day for donations and some of our shops are full to the brim.
"If you're planning to bring donations to your local shop today we kindly ask that you hold on to them for a few days more or, if possible, take them to our Donation Centre at Fieldhouse Way.”

Hide AdCharity shops have been busy as people rush to donate unwanted items or to pick up a bargain following the latest lockdown easing.
BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker tweeted on Tuesday saying he had seen ‘long queues outside every charity shop’ he passed in Sheffield.
St Luke’s replied, saying it had queues outside all of its shops and was hoping for ‘more of the same’.
"We're so happy to be able to welcome our customers back after four long months,” it added.
