If you’re all caught up on your favourite Netflix shows, or you’ve exhausted your general knowledge during the family Zoom quiz, there are plenty of fun courses and classes available online to keep you occupied during lockdown.
Whether you’re hoping to get fit or learn a new language, we’ve rounded up some of the best online classes in the Sheffield area.

Health, fitness and wellbeing
Sheffield City Trust is offering access to a range of virtual fitness classes from £6 a month.
Soul Train Athletic’s ‘Strong and Mobile for Runners’ programme is continuing online twice weekly. The free sessions are coached and allow participants to go at their own pace.
Stepping out with Michelle has been running virtual Zumba classes for the month of February. The sessions include three fun fitness classes per week to get you motivated and beat the lockdown blues.

Hide AdFlamenco in Sheffield’s weekly online dance classes cover all levels of flamenco, with one to ones for adults, kids and couples. Sevillanas and castanets classes are also available.

Educational
The University of Sheffield is delivering a number of free, online taster courses via Future Learn. The courses cover a diverse range of topics, from English literature to forensics and even robotics. The university’s Modern Languages Teaching Centre also offers courses in Arabic, French, German, Italian, Latin, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish that are open to the public.
For kids

Hide AdDinky Discoverers is a play session for two to four year olds where play and activities are based around Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Sessions are run via Zoom on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 10am.
Pets
Following the success of its lockdown online classes, Sheffield Dog Training is offering its ‘Good Dog’ online Course for £60. The six week course takes just a five minute commitment each day to to teach your dog all the skills necessary to thrive with their human families.
