Once the high street was the place to buy everything – but while brands have always come and gone, the pace of closures has intensified in recent years as online shopping has disrupted the traditional way of trading.
We have rifled through the archives to recall some of the shops that have closed their doors in Sheffield.
1. Chelsea Girl

2. Dolcis

3. JJB Sports

4. Woolworths
