The week long event, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, will take place from September 11 - 20 with online events as well as the traditional in person ones, subject to social distancing.
Organiser Janet Ridler said: "We are really pleased that registrations are going very well in Sheffield. It's looking like we will have 40-plus events for people to enjoy.

Janet said the online content would help people who can't get out and about to the festival and will introduce people to sites they may not have visited otherwise.
"We are keen that places which might not be suitable for an in-person visit can still be included through having an online presence.
"Some of our regular venues unfortunately remain closed due to Covid-19 and may be under threat so we hope that HODs will also help to keep these in the public consciousness."

It will be held at a new HODs venue, the Gardeners Rest, a heritage pub which used to serve the steelworkers of Neepsend.
