Clive Betts, MP for Sheffield South East, says the Government have been unable to provide ‘a clear and transparent breakdown’ on supply- and the maths ‘just does not add up’.
It comes after Sheffield GPs have warned they are ‘craving supplies’ of the vaccine in recent weeks, despite being ready and waiting to deliver up to 700 jabs a day.

By the current data there are still roughly 60,000 individuals in the top four priority groups who need to be vaccinated by the Government’s February 15 deadline, Mr Betts explained.
This week it is reported that only 10,000 will be vaccinated through the Primary Care Network. Next week it is understood there will be an increase, but it is unclear by how much.
"Even if next week is double that of this week the final week before the 15th would require 30,000 vaccines, which would be a substantial increase in supply,” added Mr Betts.

"This goes hand in hand with the need for more transparency, openness, and provision of data on a regular basis.”
The MP said his constituency office had been receiving a high number of queries about the vaccine rollout, but has not been able to give a clear answer to due to the lack of data and information from the Government.
"The anxiety and worry this then causes is awful for Sheffield residents who need clarity now more than ever,” he said.
