Doncaster teachers' hilarious toilet roll lockdown video is YouTube hit

Staff at Outwood Academy Danum in Armthorpe Road are among thousands of teachers nationwide separated from their pupils because of the coronavirus lockdown.
But rather then set stacks of homework, staff decided to get together (although not literally) to record a fun video to raise smiles among their students.

Hide AdSo male and female teachers swapped their usual smart classroom attire for some more casual clothing for a song and dance routine, singing their way through We’re All In This Together from High School Musical.
Staff can be seen strutting around their homes and acting up to the camera – with staff appearing to pass a toilet roll between each other as the footage moves from one teacher to the next.
The clip comes after a similar idea by staff at another Doncaster secondary school earlier this week.
Staff and teachers at McAuley Catholic High School in Cantley filmed themselves singing and dancing along to Gloria Gaynor’s disco classic I Will Survive to give pupils a giggle during the shutdown.

Hide AdAnd the disco diva gave the video the thumbs up after it was brought to her attention on Twitter.
The 76-year-old musical icon sent the school a ‘round of applause’ emoji after hearing of the teachers exploits.
