The council has stated that all its services will remain in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A spokesman said: “All city centre support is still operating and ambassadors are still on the streets offering assistance and guidance and we’re trying to source some additonal single self contained units for rough sleepers that we can use if they agree to come inside.

Hide Ad“Devonshire Green medical centre is closed for drop in and is doing a triage and the street outreach nurse us offering support and advice for anyone who is worried.
“We’re also in the process of setting up a safe space which will be a staffed night centre for rough sleepers who are not able to access accommodation.”
Sheffield City Council has also set up a helpline for the vulnerable and over 70s on 0114 2057120.
