CODE and Popworld said they had been inundated with messages from people eager to get back on the Sheffield clubbing scene, which shut down after lockdown was imposed in March.
Taking to their respective Facebook pages to update fans, club bosses said they ‘couldn’t wait’ to reopen but were unable not provide a specific date at this time.

"Unfortunately we still aren’t allowed to open but when we can we will announce updates.”
“We've had hundreds of messages asking when and if we'll be re-opening the club,” said CODE. “And we thought best to put out a quick announcement.
“We absolutely cannot wait until we're given the green light to re-open, and we're checking the news every minute of every day to find out when that can happen.”

The Prime Minister said venues where there is ‘close proximity’ interaction will stay closed, but the Government would work to ensure such businesses can reopen as soon as possible.
The next lockdown review is set to take place late next month and is likely to contain updates for the reopening of nightclubs along with indoor gyms, soft-play areas, swimming pools, spas and bowling alleys.
